Gold Bug Miner

A Special Opportunity Only for Our 2016 Gold Panning Championship Visitors

The rarely seen Priest Mine is a highlight of your adventure to this unique park.  This remarkable hard rock mine was hand dug at the peak of the Gold Rush by Cornish and Chilean miners. The mine’s walls and ceiling still show the scars of their picks and stand as timeless testaments to the exhausting, backbreaking work the ‘49ers endured in their quest for gold.  This mine is as truly as close to the California Argonauts as you can ever get!  You will feel the energy and excitement as you venture deeper and deeper into the hillside drift.

Go to our website to learn more about the park’s mining history, self guided audio tour and guided tour of the Priest Mine  and our hours of operation.
